Mexico City’s Ministry of Health (SEDESA) needed to upgrade the switches in its 33 hospitals and central offices to improve connectivity, communication services, and data links. The existing infrastructure did not offer the efficiency and reliability necessary for smooth operations within the healthcare system. In this project, we competed with brands such as Huawei, Extreme, Aruba, Ruijie, and GrandStream, ultimately winning the contract for implementation.

The upgrade of the connectivity infrastructure enabled:

• Improve communication between SEDESA's 33 hospitals and central offices.
• Ensure a stable, reliable, and high-performance network.
• Accelerate the digital transformation of the healthcare sector in Mexico City.
• Complete the implementation in a record time of 45 days.

H3C deployed 66 H3C S5560X-EI switches, including models with and without PoE support. These devices stand out for their high performance, high port density, and ease of installation. Additionally, the 5560X-30C-PWR-EI model allowed for the addition of expansion cards and 30W PoE power supply on all ports. Thanks to its rapid installation and reliability, the network infrastructure was modernized in just 45 days.

Thanks to the implementation of H3C S5560X-EI switches, SEDESA was able to optimize its IT infrastructure, facilitating better coordination and communication across its hospital and central office network. This solution provided a modern and scalable technology platform that will contribute to the continued growth and improvement of healthcare services in Mexico City.

CYS AMD, a company with 25 years of experience in the IT integration market in Mexico, serves key clients such as the government and the Chamber of Deputies. With average revenues of $6 million, it is a leading player in the Mexican market.
The company needed to renovate its own data center (DC), used to deliver software services to end users. Its existing infrastructure consisted of legacy servers from other brands that were no longer being maintained. Additionally, its VMware subscription was about to expire, leading them to seek new technology options.

The data center renovation enabled the following:

• Modernization of the infrastructure with next-generation hyperconvergence technology
• Successful migration of the entire operation from the VMware platform to the UIS platform
• Ensuring high performance and scalability for future expansions
• Having the support of the H3C support team, which guaranteed a seamless transition

To modernize its infrastructure, H3C implemented a hyperconvergence solution based on three UIS nodes, combined with GE S5130S-EI switches and 10GE S6520X-HI switches to build the data center network. H3C UIS is an innovative hyperconverged solution designed for enterprise and industrial data centers, with applications in public, private, hybrid, and edge clouds. It also integrates AI, Big Data, and Cloud Computing technologies with elastic scalability.

Thanks to the H3C solution, CYS AMD was able to upgrade its data center with a modern, flexible, and future-proof infrastructure. The successful migration to the UIS platform not only improved the performance of its services but also ensured operational continuity with a more efficient and scalable solution.
